Scholarships
Two $1,500 scholarships given annually, one to a student at Kent State University and one to a student at The University of Akron.
To be eligible for these awards the students must be juniors or seniors working toward a four-year degree that is related to one of the disciplines represented by an ACESS member society.
Application Requirements:
Applicants are to submit an application including a letter of recommendation from a faculty member at their respective university. The awardees are selected by the Akron Council of Engineering and Scientific Societies (ACESS) Education Committee based on:
• GPA
• Field experience in the discipline
• Science fair participation
• Extracurricular activities
• Participation in student chapters of technical societies
• Career objectives
• Financial need
